Carly Tooth Cleaning

Sunday we started to give her the medication 4 days before the tooth cleaning.
Medication: decrease bacteria around her teeth and prevention of infection at the time and after the cleaning.
Monday went well with her meds but Tuesday she vomited 3 times. Called the vet to ask if I should give her the dosage once again she said no and that we should just watch her.... Called early Wednesday morning to find out if we should give her the meds but the vet said no. We then took her to the vet for her tests before her procedure on Thurdsay. They had to do an EKG/ECG and blood tests before the operation. When the results where in the person who read the EKG/ECG was concern that she had an cardiac arrhythmia. The vet was concern, to postpone the procedure and advise us to see a cardiologist.

Carly stayed at the vet's overnight because BFG had fed her early in the morning, they wanted to fast her to take her Calcium level which they did this morning and have to wait 24hrs for the results to come back. The Urea was a bit up which it could be she's dehydrated or that kidneys are failing. But BFG said it may not really be that bad, that it's just that she wasn't drinking. It's not high enough for the vet to be worried either...

For now we have to get an appointment to see a cardiologue to see about her arrhythmia.

BFG went to pick her up as I'm sick and he had gone to rounds... He spoke to the vet talk to her... From what BFG said Carly was very happy to see him and was chewing, going back and forth on the door to her cage. She wanted to be close to him and was very happy to go home.

She's home now and the only thing she came home with was a small bandaid on her foot from IV and taking her blood. Mitsuru is hissing like a crazy kitty. Smelling not her sister but the vets clinic odour. Oh well, here we go again...
