testing canon feature

Carly the ModelCarly helping me test the canon capture through pc... Aint's she a great subject! She was a super trooper helping mommy... She looks totally cute... Then she ate some treats for her modeling scene and she went off to sleep her work of... She can start her own modeling career... heee...

The girls have been quite quiet today but most probably the catfight and the chasing will start at around 1am when everyone is sleeping and they want action instead of sleeping! heee...

lazy kittyCarly's been incognito almost the whole day... B-G carried her to the bed and she's been there ever since... We haven't even made the bed, afraid to disturb her sleep. As she worked so hard yesterday helping me test the canon/pc capture feature... heee. One way I know that she will move is if I shake the treats but that's just too mean... She looks so cute sleeping... B-G and I seem to agree on the fact that if we were to come back as animals it would be a pampered kitty! heee...

relaxingMitsuru's talent to do the wierdest and cutest things is top of her list from yesterday. She wants to eat on top of my desk, why, only she knows... I put her food in the usual place and she just looked at me and meowed. Like saying what is it doing on the floor here I want it on top of the desk next to the monitor... It was funny, cuz I picked up the food and took it to the desk, she made her way and jumped on my lap and onto the desk where she began to eat... I caressed her and she meowed a bit, like saying not now, let me eat! heee... cutie....

falling asleepWill be taking Mitsuru to the vet about her acne. She hates her meds, she knows when I am about to go and get her to put it on her. She absolutely hates it and I amtired of seeing her gorgeous fluffy white fur all pink and stuff... OCM said that Herbie had it and it took shots to get rid of it... I want that poor Mitsuru, I don't want her to be psychologically scar by me always wanting to put an ointment on her...

Flickr and the day

Latte's tongue twister by KennyUploaded pics to flickr...
And got a few more contacts... Kenny, his kitty Latte (how can you not love him...) and other kitties he stalks... heee... Then there's foto cats which made me laugh so much... dang... heee... I love the picture of 'He's touching me!' AAAhhh, so cute... heee... Also, another 2 - FleaCircus and dominocat... I love cats!! I think if B-G would let me I would have another 4 cats but he said only 2, no more...

The ladies have been good... Carly's been eyeing B-G's begals with cream cheese and smoked salmon spread which she got a taste of this afternoon... She loves it...

He's touching ME!! by Foto CatsWe have come up with a plan to sort of make her a little thinner not feed her so much of our food... We try but she just is too freaken cute to deny her any... I know, bad kitty parents... heee... but still... its a moment of weakness that she knows we have.

She also has a way of getting her treats... She hores herself... heee... When I'm on the PC she comes and jumps onto my lap and sits there for a while and looks up at me like saying hey I am here please feed me my treats... I guess it's because I have been doing it for the past few weeks and she now thinks that every time she comes she gets treats... I have been laying off them and to my surprise she stays there for a while then makes her way to the couch or bed... Hope it stays that way... heee...

carly blueRight now they are jumping like Mexican beans... And I have to be a bit stern with them cuz it's like 1am and people are sleeping at this our... They been good... Carly is right now doing her hide and seek with Mitsuru in the bed... They are so cute!

Look at her... How can we not deny her the yummy stuff she craves... aaahhh.... pretty baby kitty! *kiss *kiss... Love Yah!!!

vet time - Mitsuru

At 10:30am I was taken to the vet with out any explanation! Well, it was good cuz I freak out and start to meow continously! They saved themselves from my cries... I got checked for mites and apparently I have acne on my chin! He will be getting me the ointment or what ever the stuff is and apparently it's called 'chlorhexidine.' Anyways, I have to get my ears clean every day as per the vet... I hate that and I tend to scratch her... Then she will figures I should get my nails clipped... That brings the problem that I hate staying still for her to clip them properly. It takes her for ever... I know she loves me but I truly hate her when she cuts my nails and cleans my ears...

Well, apparently the app with the vet was for my booster shot which I needed to be held down by someone not the lady or the man but by the lab tech chick that was there. I started to jump around so I got held really tight and was given the shot on my thigh instead of on the back. I also seem to have a bumb there but it's from the previous vaccinations, that's what the vet said!

I got home and been sleepy for the last few hrs. I need some zzzz.... now...

dreaming Carly

Today I scared her.... wich was pretty funny... and cute all rolled into one! She thought I was crying or something had happened to me. Instead I was really having a good sleep! I was dreaming of something that I can't quite put my finger on at this moment! But she woke me out of my dream which startled me and I my head sprang up like the wits had been scared out of me, which they had been. I looked at her and made her feel all guilty and then I went back to sleep!

BTW, she has me on a diet... She seems to think that my veloptuous figure is not at all appealing and the vet agrees with them... Help they won't give me all the food I want, I am diet hell!!!

getting along

Carly and Mitsuru have been getting along pretty well! I am so happy!

Things I have to do related to the kitties:

find out if the vet clinic send the paperwork to the insurance! Well, more like they got the paperwork from the vet clinics the kitties had gone before I got them.

call about Mitsuru's lump between her shoulder blades. The vet clinic said it was due to the vaccination given to her. That in some cats that is what occurs and will automatically go away in a week or 2. Still she has it. And if it doesn't go away they gave me the option to come in and they would look at her for fee. Which is nice of them!

So far they are at it again! Play fighting and all that jazz....

running!

The mornings are hectic with them... They love to chase each other around so much that at times I hear them hit the floor really hard or just bang into a piece of furniture. I say "NO!" in a loud voice they stop look at me, like a couple of deers caught in the headlights. And then they assume their play. The only way I can calm them down, well more like only for a few minutes, is when they hear the sound of me shaking the food! Oh, they come alrighty!

Carly is being more vocal and it's so cute... We had thought she was mute as she didn't meow at all. But found that the only place and time where she meowed is in the mornings in the bathroom! Funny!

Mitsuru on the other hand is a vocal cat. Damn, vocal! She purrs like truly loud! And I guess Mitsuru's talent is spreading to Carly.

Another thing Carly has learned is not to be so afraid of us. She now lets us pet her when we see her, instead of taking of and hiding in her favorite space.

My kitties are my friends. I love them and take care of them. I am truly happy!

PURE DISGUST

What has the world come to! I went to jen2 site and read her latest post! It anger me and completely took me by surprised. I started to google, yahoo and just look for information where I could find it! I been reading and reading and have seen such disgusting images of the poor stray dog with hooks in his mouth area, used for shark bait. The French-language daily newspaper, of Réunion Island, an amateur fisherman was tried and convicted of animal cruelty. This apprently isn't an isolated incident. Several animal rights groups like the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, the RSPCA (sign the petition), and the Brigitte Bardot Foundation have a number of documented cases. The Brigitte Bardot Foundation has been lobbing the local officials and the French Foreign Ministry for the past 10 yrs hoping to put an end to the practice by enforcing the existing laws against the cruelty to animals. The method is rarely used by skillful fishermen and used more by amateur shark hunters who deal in the black market.

why the girls are locked up

They were at each other through out the whole night. And some how one of them managed to get a piece of their dung out of the kitty litter onto the hallway which made me gag. The worst is that I found ms. Mitusuru playing with it! Yukkies!! I put it in the garbage and sprayed the floor with bleach Fantastic! I had to put them in the bathroom until the fumes and the cleaning of the mess was done. That's how the evening ended yesterday!

Mitsuru 5th day

We picked her up on Saturday and took her to vet. She got her stitches taken out and the bloods done. She went mental when they tried. Well, they took her away and all we heard is meowing like she was bieng killed. Mitsuru has a clean bill of health. The vet suggested that if we took Mitsuru home with us to give both cats revolution (selamectin topical solution) to protect them from flea, intestine and heart worms and earmites. We also got a cleaning solution which needs to be applied every second day for Mitsuru. She doesn't like it very much! She gets very scared and becomes timid for a while. I have to stop so I won't make her afraid.

Carly is being such a mooch, she keeps eating Mitusuru's food! Oh and let's not forget she is also the aggressor! Mitsuru passes alot of her time under the couch. And now with all the bedroom furniture in the livingroom it's harder to keep track of her. As she flies underneath the couch every time she hears a noise that scares her.

Yesterday, called the vet clinic to give the rest of the phone numbers of all the vet clinics that the cats have been to. I want all the files to go there. It will take a few days and then once they get all the files they will fax all the information from thier history records to the pet insurance company. They both have been insured in the Quick Gold Policy (100% Coverage Monthly Premium).

Today was sort of a good thing as they came pretty close to each other. B-G saw them, too bad he didn't have a camera for the action packed meeting!

maybe a new kitty

Carly's been great! she loves to sleep... She's so funny! I have been some what wondering of getting another cat. Which happened to come to my attention a few weeks ago.

The kitty 'Sweetie' is from the hair dresser. Which I have renamed her 'Mitusru' and found out today that it's a males name by my language exchange friend. The hair dresser had been given the cat by a young woman who found her in a box. I had told her that if no one took her to keep me in mind. Mitsuru is a really loveable cat. She loves attention. Two things B-G doesn't like is that she has really long hair which sheds and she meows alot. We will see on that front!

I have already taken her to the vet and she has been treated for earmites and has been given deworm medicine and 2 vaccines. She will be going to the vet again on Saturday to get her stitches out and get blood test done. She has been left at the hair dressers as I don't want Carly to get infected with anything.

Maybe another cat will make Carly more happy.

the day...

Carly came out of her bedroom at 10.29am... Asking for food, no surprise there. She is being switched to the low fat Eagle brand kitty food.

She has gained weight, it's our fault as we tend to give her human food sometimes. It's really hard to say no to her but the vet has told her not to give her any human food. As it's not good for them.

I tend to give her cheetos which she loves and when I told the vet. She sorta laughed and then turned to me a bit seriously and said if you wish your cat to be obessed then keep feeding her empty calories. You are doing more harm then good to her.

Now the consequences are showing on poor Carly. She looks a bit fat and now that she has gotten shaved her skin is like hanging! Kind of like a Shar-Pei. We tend to laugh at her and well she sorta is shy around us now. She seems a bit upset at us.

Her attitude of when she got her first shave is way different. She was so assertive and came to us and kept meowing. It was like someone else had taken possession of our kitty. We loved it.

Now she is not doing that? I wonder. Is it because she has gained weight and we have sorta laughed at her? The groomer told us not to laugh or say mean things about her being shaved and all that. As cats tend to feel the emotions that you are giving out, like a 6th sense that they have. Maybe she's feeling those vibes? Poor baby!

We are trying to stop giving out those emotions and keep encouraging her and giving her compliments as to not get her depressed or anything like that. But B-G, sometimes laughs at her and I try to encourage him not to! He's like 'she knows we love her! It's just that she looks so wrinkly, its funny, tell me its not funny, cuz I know you know that it is!'

Ok so it is but still...

the ride...

Carly loves to ride in the car. She is put on a red pretty leach which has a harness, so not to choke the poor thing if I would have to pull her a bit. Not like I would but you never know with her. Took a 20 min. ride to go see M which was fun! Carly was going batty over the lights, as she always does at night. She stares at everything as if she wanted to go up to it and smell it or hunt it down. I seem to think she has a really adventurous nature. We do not let her go out on to the streets. She will always be an indoor cat. For crying out loud she gets scared when the garbage, recycling and sidwalk cleaning trucks pass by our house. She tends to run to her bed and hide. Once gone she comes out like nothing happened and she's back to being the mischievous little kitty she is!

She loves to roam the car but I don't let her go in the back alone. As B-G tends to break a bit hard and well she kinda is only 6 lbs. She will fly, literally! Which she did yesteday! She had her back to me an was holding to the dashboard, when all of a sudden B-G breaked. Carly flew in between my lap head first. She was momentarily dazed. For a second, I thought she had hurt herself but a sigh of relief came over me when she got back to her position. I started to say to B-G that I thought she's having a spasm of some kind because she kept moving her head back and forth but he just said to me that it wasnt the case that she kept looking at the street lights passing by. That was why she looked like she was having spasm! I started to laugh. Carly just looked at me like WTF are you trying to do, ruin my outing! I kept quiet and just looked out the window with her.

People are so curious when they see Carly in the car! They sorta start to laugh but hey she loves it! And at odd times, which is rare, she meows to as to say Hi! Crazy cute...

adopted...

Carly was adopted on November 27, 2004 with a fee of $95.00. It was a Saturday afternoon... She was in a huge cage with 2 other cats, sleeping as always. She was handed to me by Daniele the owner of Animal Rescue Network. They were having one of many adopting program at Maxine and Bailey shop, where we also buy Carly's Eagle Pack food.

At the time she was 6 months old and had been vaccinated and dewormed. On December 12, 2004, she got spayed and given her booster shot Eclipse 4. We also got her pet insurance plan (Dec. 5, 2005) for when or if she gets sick or hurt.

At times fearful. As it was explain to us. She had been abused and left to die in a plastic bag with her siblings. For the first weekshe was hiding under everything in the house: bed, couch, table, desk, between the venitian blinds, behind the toilet... We were patient and even called the shelter owner to find out exactly what had happened to her. And she told me that a stranger had seen a black plastic bag moving in the water. She went to see what it was and it was Carly with 2 of her siblings shivering. I was so sad... B-g was not really liking her at the begining and wanted to returned her. He even convinced me but I tried to say lets give her another chance. And we did, she came out of her shell and was really happy from then on...

Carly's been taken to the vet twice... The 1st time was to get a physical for her insurance policy. As it was requested and she didn't have a medical history. We got her tested for kitty-AIDS and got the necessary vaccinations given to her. On her next visit at 7pm, she got vaccinated for rabbies, as she had bitten me that afternoon. We also want to take her to the US during the christmas holidays. The Canadian policy for cats entering Canada is that they need to have their rabbies shots and some sort of certificate stipulating she has had all her shots and a physical exam done in the year she's travelling. My brother is coming for the holidays from Japan, 25 days if I'm not mistaken!

Carly's third visit to the Vet. is in December 9th, 2005. She's going to get a vaccination which is required to be done around the time of her travel. Perfect timing!

2nd Shave...

It was a rainy day! Carly doesn't like to be in her carrier as she tends to meow a little. Thank goodness though she meows really low. Not like some cats I hear outside at times. She was going for her 2nd trim! We left her at the groomers, as B-G had some errands to do. We went to pick her up 2hrs later which I was a bit upset! Two hours at the groomer was not good, that was my thoughts! She looks so cute, with her lion head and tip of her tail fluffy! Heee... The groomer had another kitty there which she said was a stray. I looked at B-G, with eyes that said I want it. I told her if she had anyone that would be willing to take care. She told me she had been looking. She has had her for 2weeks and was waiting on results to see if she was pregnant as her teets are swollen. I think she is. I told her that I was interested in the kitty and asked her to call me the minute she found out. She has found homes for the kittens to be, if she is. But no one wanted her as it's always hard to place a grown cat. She is so cute, doesn't have a name as it was better if the people who wanted her would name her, that is what the groomer told me. I told her that Carly is very well taken care of! Eats pretty expensive food, the litter also cost a pretty penny, she has pet insurance and she goes to the vet every 2-3 months. So, if she gave her to me I would truly take care of her! B-G is like more cat hair! Heee...

I think it would be good for Carly to have another cat friend/sis/bro around her! She may learn to be less scared of the trucks. We'll see...

1st shave...

Carly had a date today at 10:30am...

We stayed to watch her fur flying every where. Put some in an envelop for keepsake. Will make a scrapbook page for her, with the pictures! She looks so adorable...

Before we started the groomer asked me what I wanted done to her. I really didn't know and well I took a look at her other client and he looked good so I said I'll like Carly to have that cut. The lion cut she said it was called. Me being ignorant about kitty coife, I laughed a bit. The kitty who recently had gotten the lion cut just looked at me like saying, 'what are you laughing at!' I stopped and looked at B-G which he gave me a stare of did you see that, too.

Kitty was a trooper, she seemed to enjoyed it. She even got her nails trim! A plus!!! She was pleasantly calmed through out the whole experience. For being a first timer that is really good the groomer said. I'm so proud of her.
